White Trash Formal?...and the weekend!

Well I had a very eventful weekend! Friday I got off early from work which was amazing because the 4 1/2 hours I was there I did nothing. I got to go home and take a nice nap. Friday night was my sororities formal. I was pretty excited cause our parties are actually fun. We got all dressed up and and big group of us went to Outback Steak House. SOOO GOOD! I haven't been there in awhile. After dinner we headed to one of my friends apartments and pre-partied for awhile before we went to the party. So here's where the white trash comes in. So totally not trying to brag and not like I'm rich or anything but my sorority is pretty well off. Our alumni love us. Usually formals are in big buildings with tables and a band so you can dance (at least it was last year). We go to our lodge and wait on the limo provided for us to pick us up. Well we look all nice in a big limo and pull up to the smallest BAR in Lubbock. I was very disappointed!! I felt like white trash walking into my formal. If I would have known I was going to a bar I would have worn normal clothes. Lets just say Clark and I were there for about 45 min. then left.

Saturday Clark had a baseball tournament, which he got to play on Tech's baseball field. They lost but at least I got a nice sun tan. That night was his fraternities Toga party. Last year I went all out and bought a toga while having the stomach flu, but this year I decided I was not going to spend the money on a toga. It was fun!

Sunday MY DADDY CAME TO SEE MEE!!! He went on a guys motorcycle trip this weekend to Big Bend National Park. He decided to split from the group on Sunday and come to Lubbock to see his favorite daughter! I didn't get to see him for very long but I was still very happy I got to see him. He took Clark and I out to lunch then he headed home. He had a hard time getting home cause of the weather but he said I was worth it! I haven't gotten to see my family in a long time. My mom is coming out for Clark's graduation on May 8th then I am going on the end of May. I cant wait to move home where I can be closer to everyone. I miss my family!

It's a sad day in the neighborhood

So this morning as I was getting ready, my hair straightener died. I sucked all the life out of it trying to straighten my hair with very little heat this morning. It was a little sad cause I had it since my freshman year in high school, 6 years ago! It was a good straightener too. I gonna miss it cause it went with me on every trip and every girls house I went and spent the night at. So now I have to go buy a new one and I have no clue what to get. I used to hear Chi's were good but now I am hearing there are better ones. I don't want to spend a lot of money though. I need something reasonable though cause I have thick, wavy hair and its gotta help me on those rainy days. Have any ideas??

Pioneers and the Mavericks!

So it is offical... I am going to be a TWU Pioneer next year! I dont know if that is something to get excited about though. I know it is a good school, they just dont have a dang football team. I'll still root for Tech though. I am happy to be going home, I will get to see my family more and not be 5 hours away from Clark. He got in to UTA...YAY!! After the let downs of Tech and UTD he was pretty stressed about grad school. We flew home two weekends ago for a wedding and right after we landed he got the email. His mom and I were screaming in the car. So next year is going to be totally different for us, but it is all for the better!

Cold weather go away...come again another day!

I am very upset that it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Its almost April, I am ready for warm weather and cute clothes!! Lets just hope if it does snow that it will be late tomorrow night. Clark and I are flying out tomorrow around 1:30 and I dont want to get delayed. We have a wedding to go to back at home and I am excited cause I will get to meet more of Clark's friends. Poor Chancey Pants doesnt get to go though. I feel so bad when we both leave him cause he gets so confused of where we are.

So I have a countdown going and its only 5 more weeks of school after this week. YAY so excited, im so ready for summer. Although I probably will be taking summer school and working. But I have decided that I am moving home next year. I am going to be going to TWU and finishing school there. Im am excited to be going home. I wont be 5 hours away from Clark and living at home for awhile will help me save money. I have also decided no more roommates. I never thought I would want to live by myself but I do. Next person I live with is Clark when we are married.

Yes Lindsey I watched American Idol last night and I am sick of the judges. They dont make any sense and all they do is fight and it is annoying.

Happy Birthday Sister!

Sorry it's a little late! So Friday was my sister, Lindsey's 25th birthday. I cant believe how old we are. It seems like yesterday we were playing Barbie dolls and cars in the middle of the living room floor. Most of you dont know, but Lindsey and I did not get along when we were little. She was the cool older sister and I was the annoying younger sister. I always wanted to be in her business. It wasnt till the day she moved to college that I realized how much I appreciated and missed her. As we started getting older the closer we got. Today she is my best friend and I miss her terribly when I am at school. It wasn't till her wedding that I realized we are not little kids anymore and we are growing up. Our days of playing house has turned into real life (well at least for her). She's the best sister anyone could ask for and I look up to her for all the things she has accomplished in her life. I love you Lindsey and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

"Post Secret"

So today I found out about this book called "Post Secret." I man named frank started giving out postcards to random people with secrets he has never told before. Once people realized they mailed him postcards with their secrets. He decided to make a book and it is hilarious. I read through some today in my art class and some of the secrets people have are crazy. So my project is to think of a secret I have never told and send it to PostSecret. I wonder if it would ever in up in a book. The book is big but definitely worth reading!
